The ‘thing in the lake’ revealed

Yesterday, we brought you news of the construction of the first water-sports installation on the phase 2 lake. Yesterday’s photo was taken on a phone from a moving bus, so understandably it was not very detailed. This morning, we obtained more detailed images and they add significantly to our reservations about this development.

The jetty – for that is clearly what it is – is located at the extreme south-east corner of the lake. The new photograph reveals two interesting details not visible in yesterday’s image:

  1. the blue paint applied to the ladder and the base of the piles is strongly suggestive of a swimming pool. The likelihood that it is intended to use this part of the lake as a lido has increased sharply.
  2. the presence of a large water inlet pipe just behind the jetty speaks volumes. There is clearly a plan to add large volumes of water to the lake in order to make the ‘water park’ activities viable. Once again, we ask, “where is this water coming from?”. We suspect we know the answer.

  1. Again and again mankind is selfish and put themselves over the needs of nature…mother nature. I would love a swimming lake but i love newts, frogs, grassnakes and living hydrated wildlife more.
