Last night in the Dale community room, a packed audience of Longstanton residents – plus a few from further afield – passed up on the inaugural ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in order to attend the inaugural meeting of LEGG, the ‘Longstanton Environmental and Groundwater Group’.
The meeting started by appointing Alex Riley, former SCDC councillor and former chair of Longstanton Parish Council, to chair the meeting. Hilary Stroude made an opening statement to set the context and provide some history. There were then further contibutions from Clive Hayden (Larksfield Nursery), Jonny Kerley, a member of Swavesey Parish Council who fortuitously happens to be a hydrologist, and Daniel Fulton, the director of Fews Lane Consortium.
